Eight years ago, two scientists (husband and wife) set out to create healthier alternatives to sodium and sugar products. Having previously worked for a global food giant, they saw an urgent need for change in food products that would reduce high sugar and sodium levels.
With their products perfected and produced, this year they were looking to expand into the mainstream market by getting on the shelves of Coles and Woolworths. But it costs to do so.
John was able to do an equity release on their commercial security up to 75% which allowed them to use those funds for their business. He also introduced them to the Heart Foundation, which now endorses and recommends their products.
Having suffered from a heart problem 10 years ago, John is an avid supporter of the Heart Foundation and passionate about living a heart healthy lifestyle. He said this client story was his favourite of the year because;
"there’s nothing better than getting behind a business you truly believe in, and seeing it succeed. Their ultimate goal was to make their heart healthy products accessible to all Australians and I think, with the help of the loan, they were able to accomplish that."
